Michael Mohney conducting Information Literacy research

Michael Mohney, Instructor in Landscape Contracting, is currently conducting research on Information Literacy titled "A Study of Computer Application Tutorials and Their Effectiveness in Enhancing Comprehension."

As computer technology changes and evolves at a rapid pace, it is important for students to be able to effectively search for applicable information. Information literacy skills are currently being utilized in academic settings to teach students how to search for, identify, evaluate, and effectively use the information to complete tasks. Information literacy skills, combined with computer technology, can potentially enhance the learning process beyond simply attending classes and learning industry software. The purpose of this research study is to explore whether information associated with computer application tutorials is effective in assisting students in their learning.
